Corsets can be an instrument of torture
written on Thursday, February 20, 2014 @ 10:34 PM ✈
peace be upon you!
Reached home from running some wedding errands. i.e. Meeting the Make-up artist and going Geylang for some last minute Dulang-Hantaran shopping *lifting right eyebrow* at about 8.
Two Hours later...
Mother asked me to stop whatever I was doing (I was just stalking other people on FB) and magically corsets appeared. *insert magical sound for effect*
If you know my Mum, she can't not say something as she moves around. Pardon me but I just ate some drugs, i.e. for my running nose, phlegm and cough and it is causing drowsiness. So she was placing this brown corset in front of me and was saying "Ok try this first, let's see if you can fit in, if not... "
Readers, I had no choice but to put it on. At first, it had seem exciting AND glamourous! Also, I'm skinny and I have been wearing one similar to this during my dancing days. So, the shoulder shrugs and the mind said, "No biggie".
But actually,... it was a big biggie. VERY BIG, indeed.
I tried the first one at first and felt fine. Then my Mum got me to prance around (ok that I did it on my own), try to sit and all and found that the first corset was ok. It was kind of getting hard to breathe by then.
The second one actually hurts my back. How can a corset hurts a skinny person?
The third one had to be put on from the feet up. Okay suddenly, the need to pee arises.
& because it does seem like an under garment thing for the bottoms, I can feel the back side was complaining. Och!'
Mum asked me to try the fourth again. I was feeling light headed by then...
And all the while all that was happening, my mind kept saying this on repeat:
How can a skinny person suffer from corset?
How can a skinny person suffer from corset?
How can a skinny person suffer from corset?
How..?
How...
How?
HOW??!!

The proposal
written on Monday, February 10, 2014 @ 10:30 PM ✈
Yesterday aftenn, we went back to Ngee Ann Poly where it all started.
My sisters came with me and literally became our director and camerawoman of the day. :)
After a few shots, we decided to change our clothes. Second sis and I were in the restroom when third sis poked her head in and asked my second sis to exit from the restroom first.
Thinking tht, probably she wanted to take me exiting from the restroom, I just follow suit so I made way for second sis to exit and then followed her out.
The door would swing inwards. So I pulled the door open and took the u steps out to exit. Just as I was going to turn to my left and make my way towards the camera a movement caught my eye. The motion was acute to a frog jumping forward ready to pounce. This frog-alike was my fiance. Haha. On the one hand he was holding a bouquet and the other hand he was holding a couple-bear. His cheeks were so red and he spurts out "will you marry me?".
Of course I burst out laughing and thinking "oh gosh this is so sweet that its embarrassing!". Also I just have to ask him to do it again because by then we both were laughing so hard we dont have a single still picture capture on film. Haha. So he had to do it again. And of course I took plenty pictures with the bouqeut. Im just super shy to share it here for now. Hehe.
I know it isnt as grand as others. But I can atleast now tell pple I was proposed to. Hehe. And we had lots of fun while we are at it. And i think thats what matters most. <3
